I want to write about this weekend. But I want to take time to tell the story. What I will give you is a list of what I loved about it. This is in no particular order. At least not one that you will understand.
1) Being floated in the swimming pool.
2) Walking the docks.
3) Finding great buildings.
4) Watching him sleep.
5) Experimenting with food.
6) Grocery shopping.
7) Stopping off the side of the road to kiss.
8) Control of the thermostat.
9) Taking pictures.
10) The sauna.
11) Curled up in the hot tub.
12) Waking up next to him.
13) Waking him up again.
14) Talking about music.
15) Checking out all the shops.
16) The fact we both fell down the steps.
17) That at the end we were both walking funny.
18) The candles.
19) Eatting cookies in bed...WITH CHEESE!
20) Feeding him grapes.
21) Him treating me like a princess.
22) The massages.
23) All the hugs.
24) Being inseparable.
25) Him eatting my soup.
26) That it rained.
27) Sunrise.
28) The way he looked at me.
29) All the sex.
And last, but most important...
30) Spending time with him.

9. Standing inches (8 feet) from a speeding train
10. Getting a massage
11. Seeing a cat sit in the middle of the lake
12. Gay convict art in front of the court house
13. Giving S my jacket when she was cold
14. Sneaking over to change the thermostat when S wasn’t looking
15. Waking next to her….over and over and over
But mostly, being able to pretend…if only for a weekend…that S is mine and mine alone.
