I Will Survive....

I'm back. I'm almost caught up on my reading. I have too many things I want to write about, and not enough time. So I will pick the first thing that comes to mind.

We had a St Patrick's Day pot luck party. What can I say, I love feeding people and I look for any excuse to have a party. Of course it doesn't hurt that we are both Irish. We had a wonderful time. We ate too much, drank just enough, and laughed until we cried. People took turns sitting in my vibrating chair. Yes, I have a vibrating chair. Yes, I love it. Yes. Yes. Yes. I am considering getting a privacy screen before our next party, however it is fun to watch peoples' facial expressions once they have a seat. (It's even better when you share the seat.) I find that I am a voyeur at heart. Which makes sense when I stop to think about it.

I am finding that staying home and raising kids is not enough for me. Not that I ever thought it would be. I had hoped that I would manage my sanity a bit better while I did. I know that I may seem to be a cold mother. I know staying home with the children is an important job. But it is not fulfilling my needs. Right now, I am trying to figure out what I do need, rather than spending my time trying to resign myself to laundry and dishes. I have been working on my home based business. I am starting to have some success in that area, however, like always, I want more. I am hoping to enroll in a Tai Chi class in the evening to help with movement and meditation. Unfortunately the treadmill has taken a back burner for a while. I am currently taking steps to get back on track.

I am healthy at the moment, but it seems the baby has come down with a cold. Both guys were very kind in spoiling me during my last illness, but I don't care to repeat it. However Tess, if you do show up in that nurses outfit, I'll let you take my temperature. I'm sure Oso wouldn't mind.

That's all for now. Be good to you.

For Oso.
Bold O'Donoghue
Well, here I am from Paddy's land, a land of high renown
I broke the hearts of all the girls for miles of Keady town
And when they hear that I'm away they raise a hullabaloo
When they hear about that handsome lad they call O'Donoghue!
For I'm the boy to please her, and I'm the boy to tease her
I'm the boy to squeeze her and I'll tell you what I'll do
I'll court her like an Irishman me brogue and blarney too
Is the plan me rollickin' swollickin' gollickin' wollicken bold O'Donoghue!
Well I wish me love was a red red rose growing on yon garden wall
and me to be a dewdrop and upon her brow I'd fall!
Perhaps now she might think of meas a rather heavy dew
No more she'd love that handsome lad the Bold O'Donoghue!
They say that Queen Victoria has a daughter nice and grand
Perhaps she'd take it into her head to marry an Irishman
And if I could only get the chance to have a word or two
Perhaps she'd take a notion in the bold O'Donoghue!
