Midnight conversations

12:30am.

"Did you know your daughter is sleeping out in the living room?"
"Yes."
"Do you know why?"
"Yes."
"She told you about the purple monsters?"
"Yes, the ones you put under her bed."


Most mothers try to convince their kids that there are no such thing as monsters. I tell mine I hide them under their bed and if they get out they will get eaten. They all thought it was funny until now. The youngest is having issues with all the Halloween things going on.

We are now having conversations about how we do not allow anything bad into our home. Only good people and good things. That and monsters are terrified of mommy. I didn't earn the rep as the mean mommy for nothing.

Yes, I know I will be paying for therapy later. It was a given before we had kids and our bird was named Peckerhead and the cat was Shitter. I hated the bird, but miss the cat. Go figure.
